Bacteriostatic sub-micron coconut carbon block for chlorine and chemical reduction
The outer screen will reduce dirt sediment and algae. Under the screen is a 0.5 sub micron coconut carbon block filter that will improve the taste and odour of the water by reducing Chlorine, chemicals and many other contaminants.
This filter uses composite carbon to make it bacteriostatic which makes it a great option for tank water where the water is not treated to remove bacteria.
The filters will fit most standard 10″ x 2.5″ filter housings and can be used as a single stage filter if you have a clean water supply. Alternately, you can use a sediment filter in stage 1, then this filter as stage 2.
High sediment water supplies may shorten the life of these ultra fine filters.
