Description
Triple Whole House Water Filter System ideal for Chlorinated Town Water. Reduces chemicals, bad taste/odour and sediment particles often found in tap water.
This unit features three 20″ x 4.5″ Big Blue Water Filter Housings on a rugged 304 stainless steel bracket. Comes with disposable filters which are simply discarded once they have reached full capacity. A convenient low maintenance option.
The Taiwanese-made 2045BB housings work with standard 20″ x 4.5″ double open ended filters — a standardised filter type which is easily available.
Using a standard filter type means you have the choice of dozens of different filters, giving you the ability to change your filtration processes to suit your goals. It also means you will never have any issues finding affordable replacement filters and you won’t be locked into expensive maintenance contracts with a single supplier.
Having three housings provides additional flexibility, as you have the option of running two sediment filters and one carbon (ideal for sediment-heavy water) or one sediment and two carbons (better for chemical-heavy water).
This unit can be used in a range of operating environments including homes, apartments, and businesses.
Comes with everything you need, including three high-quality “Big Blue” housings, a stainless steel bracket, sump spanner, and the filters of your choice. A pressure limiting valve is an optional extra. It is recommended for installations where the water pressure may exceed 550kpa.
Features
- WaterMark Certified Triple Big Blue Filter System
- Designed for reducing chemicals, sediment and bad taste/odour
- Treats 100% of the water coming into your home
- Produces delicious water for drinking, cooking, showering and bathing.
- Triple Big Blue Housing with 304 Stainless Steel Bracket and Sump Spanner
- Compatible with standard 20″ x 4.5″ Double Open Ended Filters (countless filters to choose from)

Please note: This unit will not reduce pathogens like viruses, bacteria, cryptosporidium, or giardia. If you suspect your source water contains pathogens, a UV steriliser or finer filtration is recommended.
Filter Options
The following filter options are available. Please contact us if you require a different combination of filters.
Option 1: Improved Sediment Reduction
Option 1 is designed for water that contains high levels of sediment. Sediment heavy water is often found in regional or rural areas where water has not been received sufficient treatment.
Stage 1: 20 Micron Disposable Polyspun Sediment Filter (2045PS20)
The first sage is a 20 micron sediment filter for reducing particulate contaminants including rust, sand, silt, dust, dirt, faeces, leaf matter, algae, and general sediment particles. It is made from dense food-grade polypropylene.
Once the filter has reached maximum capacity, it is simply discarded and a fresh filter is inserted into the housing. Other micron ratings are also available.
Stage 2: 5 Micron Disposable Polyspun Sediment Filter (2045PS5)
A finer sediment filter to capture even smaller particles. This combination of two sediment filters produces very clean water with much lower levels of turbidity and particulate contaminants.
Stage 3: 5 Micron Disposable Carbon Block Filter (2045CB5)
A dense 5 micron carbon block filter which is highly effective at chemical and bad taste/odour reduction. Reduces a wide range of contaminants including pesticides, herbicides, insecticides, chlorine, chloramines, volatile organic compounds, PFAS/PFOS and other chemical compounds. Excellent capacity and reduction rates.
Please note: there are various micron ratings available of the filters listed above. Contact us for free no-obligation advice on the best filter choice or to customise your filters.
Option 2: Improved Chemical Reduction
Option 2 includes one sediment filter followed by two carbon filters. This provides additional contact time between the carbon and source water, improving chemical reduction rates at higher flow rates.
This is an ideal option if you have reasonably clean water which has higher chemical levels or bad taste/odour.
Stage 1: 5 Micron Disposable Polyspun Sediment Filter (2045PS5)
The first sage is a 5 micron sediment filter for reducing particulate contaminants including rust, sand, silt, dust, dirt, faeces, leaf matter, algae, and general sediment particles. It is made from dense food-grade polypropylene.
Once the filter has reached maximum capacity, it is simply discarded and a fresh filter is inserted into the housing. Other micron ratings are also available.
Stage 2: 10 Micron Disposable Carbon Block Filter (2045CB10)
A 10 micron carbon block to reduce bad taste/odour, chemical overspray (pesticides, herbicides, insecticides), and other chemical compounds. Excellent capacity and reduction rates.
Stage 3: 5 Micron Disposable Carbon Block Filter (2045CB5)
A fine 5 micron carbon block which provides even more improvement to water quality. Reduces bad taste/odour and complex chemical molecules which are typically difficult to remove (PFAS, VOC etc).
Specifications
- Housing Dimensions: 698mm high with bracket x 620mm wide.
- Temperature range: 0.5°C – 37.8°C

If your water pressure may exceed 80 PSI at any time, a 500 kPa (70 PSI) pressure limiting valve must be installed to protect the housing. Failure to install a PLV on high pressure water can void warranty. 3/4″ BSP female 500 kPa pressure limiting valves are available here: PR20 3/4″Pressure Limiting Valve.
If your system has plastic ports do not use pipe dope or other liquid thread sealers. Use only Teflon tape to seal threaded connections.
If a shipping charge does not appear in your cart, it is due to the weight or size of your order being over a certain threshold. We will get back to you with a custom quote on your freight.
